Weapon Proficiency (Axes)

This skill measures your aptitude with all weapons with the "Axe" quality.

Rank 1 Ability

You make attack rolls with any weapon with the "Axe" quality normal.

Rank 2 Ability

You gain a competence bonus on damage rolls equal to half of your ranks in this skill.

Rank 4 Ability

You may make a melee attack with an axe against any opponents in three contiguous squares that you could normally reach.

Rank 5 Ability

When you use the attack action in melee with an axe, you may take a penalty of as much as -5 on your attack roll and add the same number (+5 or less) to your Critical Hit Range. This number may not exceed your base attack bonus. The changes to attack rolls and Critical Hit Range last until your next action.

Rank 6 Ability

Axes you wield gain the Heavy Critical property.

Rank 7 Ability

When wielding an axe, you may make an attack roll as a full-round action. If successful, the attack counts as a coup de grace attempt on an opponent as if he were helpless. You may use this ability a number of times per day equal to ΒΌ of your ranks in this skill.

Rank 8 Ability

Axes you wield gain the Bleeding property.

Rank 10 Ability

Axes you wield gain the Throwing Quality.
